Howdy

Nicolás Bustillos is a fourth generation West Texan with deep roots throughout the region. Nico moved to Marfa in 2016 and soon began to offer guided experiences for friends and acquaintances. The open frontier has particular meaning for him, as his family owns ranch land in Chihuahua. As a child, Nico spent nearly every summer on the family ranch. At two years old, he received his first pair of boots, and at four, rode a horse for the first time.

After relocating to Marfa, Nicolás befriended and began to work for fourth and fifth-generation cowboys on various ranches. It was then that he learned the cowboy trade and honed his skills with horses. Today, Nico shares his passion for the area though guided experiences in Marfa, on local ranches, and down into Mexico. His ultimate goal is to inspire in visitors the same love he feels for the small towns and wide open vistas of the Big Bend region.
